Reading at Lantern, Friday 7/14 at 6 p.m.

I will be reading fiction at Back Lot Garden Spot on Friday, July 14 at 6 p.m. There will be great food AND great art. The reading is entitled "Picking up the Pieces," and will contain poetry and fiction reading showcasing local writers Mtende Roll, Isaac Hughes Green, Omaria Sanchez Pratt, and Chapel Hill's Poet Laureate, Cortland Gilliam. We will share works that engage the realities and hopes of our time—and give you a chance to engage, too!

Cortland and I have been planning this one for a while. We first met at Motorco thanks to Johnny Lee Chapman III. This will be my first reading in a couple of years. I have so much work that I'm honestly torn about which piece to read. I think I have an unreleased short story that I'm choosing but, you never know!
